About Emma
Hello, I'm Emma
A qualified counsellor offering a warm, steady and completely confidential space — for adults in Farnborough and online.
[This is your space to introduce yourself in your own voice — a paragraph or two about who you are and how you came to this work. People choose a counsellor as much on feeling as on credentials, so a little warmth here goes a long way. Placeholder text follows.]
I came to counselling because I've seen, in my own life and in others', how much can change when someone finally feels heard. My approach is gentle and unhurried. I'm not here to judge, fix or steer — I'm here to sit alongside you while you make sense of things at your own pace.
Some people arrive knowing exactly what they'd like to work on. Others just have a sense that something isn't right. Both are completely fine. Wherever you're starting from, we'll go at a speed that feels safe for you.
How I work
I work in an integrative way, which means I draw on more than one therapeutic approach and adapt to you as an individual rather than fitting you into a single fixed method. In practice, I follow your lead rather than imposing a set programme. Sessions are a conversation, not an interrogation, and there's never any pressure to share more than you're ready to.
Training & qualifications
- [Your main counselling qualification and where you trained — to add].
- Registered member of the BACP.
- [Any additional training — e.g. bereavement, trauma, working with anxiety].
- Fully insured and in regular clinical supervision, as required by my professional body.
A note on confidentiality
What you bring to sessions stays between us. I keep to the ethical framework of the BACP, and I'll explain clearly at the start how confidentiality works and the rare limits to it, so you always know where you stand.
Wondering if we'd be a good fit?
The best way to find out is simply to talk. I offer a free 15-minute call with no obligation on either side.
