Help with anxiety

Anxiety counselling in Farnborough & online

Anxiety has a way of taking over. The worry that won't switch off at night, the racing thoughts before something that shouldn't feel like a big deal, the constant sense of being on edge or running on empty. Sometimes there's an obvious cause; often there isn't, which can make it feel even harder to explain to the people around you.

I offer counselling for anxiety in person in Farnborough or online across the UK — a calm, confidential space to slow things down and understand what's driving it.

How anxiety can show up

Anxiety looks different for everyone, but you might recognise some of these:

  • Worry that loops and won't let go, even over small things
  • Feeling tense, restless, or unable to relax
  • A racing heart, tight chest, or churning stomach
  • Avoiding situations, people, or places that set it off
  • Trouble sleeping, or waking with a sense of dread
  • Overthinking conversations long after they've ended
  • Feeling irritable or close to tears without knowing why

You don't need a diagnosis to seek support, and you don't need to be in crisis. If anxiety is shaping your days, that's reason enough.

How counselling helps with anxiety

Anxiety often makes us feel like the problem is us — that we should just be able to cope. Counselling offers something different: a space where the worry can be spoken out loud, without judgement, and gently untangled.

Together we'll look at what your anxiety is really about, the patterns that keep it going, and what helps you feel steadier. I work in an integrative way, drawing on more than one therapeutic approach and adapting to you rather than following a set programme. Some people want practical tools to manage anxious moments; others want to understand where it all comes from. Most want a bit of both, and we'll go at your pace.

As one client put it after our work together: learning the tools to navigate life calmly, without that constant fight-or-flight feeling, changed how they lived day to day.
